Upon recommendation from doctors and the Center for Disease Control, the following are our School Policies for children who are not feeling well:
- If a student shows signs of illness, please keep the student home. In addition, should a child show signs of illness during school, an adult will be asked to pick up the child from school.
- A child who has a contagious disease ח"ו may not return to school until the child has not had symptoms of the illness for at least 24 hours.
Ex: No fever (without medication) for 24 hours, no vomiting or nausea for 24 hours. For strep, the child must be on antibiotics for 24 hours before returning. - If a child has a cough or cold etc. and feels well enough to be in school, the child should (be taught to) take care not to spread germs by covering the mouth when coughing, washing hands with soap etc.
If your child will not be coming to school due to illness or any other reason, please inform his/her teacher(s) a.s.a.p. and inquire what learning the child should do while absent (if he/she feels up to it).
If your child will be going out of town or any other planned absence, please let his/her teacher(s) know well in advance and inquire what learning the child should do.
May we all greet Moshiach with healthy bodies and healthy souls, תיכף ומיד ממש!
